Thirty-seven years ago, Pastor Mark Suko, a recent graduate of Northwest seminary, along with his wife, Nancy, started Discovery Baptist Church in Gig Harbor, Washington. God blessed the faithful preaching of His Word, and today more than 200 people gather on Sunday mornings for worship and study.
Chris Hindal, director of Regular Baptist International, arrived on Friday evening, Jan. 15, for the weekend ministry. He spoke on Saturday morning to the men’s breakfast group and then again in Sunday School and the morning worship service.
Discover Baptist Church is heavily involved in ministry in Ukraine with ABWE. The Sukos have a son and daughter and their families serving there. Chris had the opportunity to visit them in the Ukraine.
Pastor Mark also shared with Chris the church’s plan to launch a building program that will expand the auditorium and add additional space for fellowship and education.
