First Baptist Church, Grove City, Pennsylvania, is pastored by Andy Frey. His exuberant leadership attracts about 70 college students every Sunday. Associate Pastor Kurt Gomez punctuates the ministry with his passion for young people and ethnic ministry. Sept. 28–29 was set apart for a missions conference. Speakers included Chris Hindal, director of Regular Baptist International, and Lucas and Jessica Rondey. The Rondeys serve with Ethnos 360 (formerly New Tribes Mission) and are raising support to target indigenous people in Mexico.

The conference commenced on Saturday morning with a ladies’ gathering, and Jessica shared her testimony. Saturday afternoon the men gathered at a member’s pond for a cookout. Both Lucas and Chris shared their salvation testimonies and God’s call to the ministry. Chris reports having a great time with the 30 men who attended.

On Sunday morning during the Sunday School hour the Rondeys shared with the youth and college students while Chris presented Regular Baptist Press International to the adults. During the morning service Chris preached a message  titled “The Great Commission and Me” and presented the international partnership. The spread for the church dinner would make any Baptist proud. The Rondeys presented their ministry during the afternoon service. The question and answer period was peppered with thoughtful questions. Praise God for a church that is alive with a passion for Jesus and lost people.
