Peace River Baptist Church in Punta Gorda, Florida, swells in size during the winter season, running two morning services to accommodate the number of attendees. The church invited Chris Hindal, director of Regular Baptist International, to speak during its missions conference Feb. 23–24. He joined speakers Johnathan and Clarinda Halk, who are church planters in Zambia, and Paul and Patti Karpenko of Jewish Awareness Ministries, serving the past 30 years in Israel.

On Saturday morning, Feb. 23 the missionaries shared their ministries with three separate groups of people, with the groups rotating to hear each missionary. The church served an excellent international dinner at noon. The next day, Johnathan Halk spoke during Sunday School, Chris Hindal spoke in both worship services, and Paul Karpenko spoke in the evening service.

Pastor Jim Stultz says, “This is the first missions conference we have had in many years, and I believe God used it. The theme ‘Declare His Glory among the Nations’ provided a focused emphasis.”
