Falam inlineTimothy Sui Lian Mang, president of Myanmar Biblical Baptist Fellowship, is working on translating the Old Testament into the Falam Chin language. He sends the following update:

The Falam Chin people need a good Bible. I started translation work in 2002, and the New Testament was printed in 2009. I have been working on the Old Testament and am almost finished.

I went to Imphal City, India, to be with my translation consultant, Dr. Suresh. I checked Jeremiah chapters 41—52 word-by-word and verse-by-verse Oct. 30–Nov. 8. I thank God that Dr. Suresh knows Hebrew very well and is an expert in Bible translation, as he has been doing translating work for more than 12 years.

Suresh will come to Myanmar in April and check again the book of Ezekiel, and then the whole Old Testament will be done. Then we will do a key term check (every verb, noun, adjective, adverb, and number will be checked) again. My goal is to finish that work by 2016 and print the whole Bible in 2017. Pray with me for my Bible translation work.
