Harvest Baptist Church of Oswego, IL, hosted the Illinois/Missouri (ILMO) Fall State Meeting on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 1 & 2, 2007. Pastor Pete Mothershead from San Clarita Baptist Church in Santa Clarita, CA, presented 4 messages on evangelism and mobilizing people to share their faith in Jesus Christ. The group passed a resolution on evangelism but Mothershead encouraged pastors, their wives and lay people to do more than just pass a resolution. Many practical suggestions given need to be implemented in every day life.
Fellowship and sharing between pastors, missionaries, agency personnel proved to be rich and beneficial. The women enjoyed a luncheon hosted by the church ladies in their beautifully decorated fellowship hall. Amy Phillips, pastor’s wife from Delhi Baptist Church in Jerseyville, IL, spoke on Idols of the Heart and encouraged the women to examine their lives and priorities.
Chris & Deb Hindal respresented GLS/IPFBM, Judy Emery represented the Baptist Builder’s Club and Jim and Jeannie Vogel represented the GARBC as the new associate to John Greening during the conference.
