Alipur Baptist Church in Assam, India, is praising God for its ministries in the last three months for both believers and unbelievers.
The church, pastored by Nabin C. Singha, hosted a children’s program in July. Nabin is thankful for the 33 teachers and helpers who assisted the program, which included Bible teaching, games, and music for the 113 children in attendance. Five children accepted Christ as Savior.
The church also led prayer meetings for missionaries once a month for the last three months. Ten to 12 pastors and missionaries participated, spending extended time in prayer.
Alipur Baptist Church also regularly focuses on evangelism in its community. From July to September, members of the church shared the gospel with 212 people. Thirty-eight people accepted Christ as Savior.
Nabin is praying that God might open new ways to share the gospel, “as a number of old methods of evangelism, like open-air preaching, etc. are becoming restricted in India as anti-conversion laws are enacted in 11 states of India.”
On Oct. 28 he will speak during a seminar at a nearby Baptist church on new techniques of evangelism in India where conventional evangelism methods are now restricted.
