Myanmar was hit Friday morning, March 28, by a 7.7 magnitude earthquake, killing about 1,700 people and injuring about 3,400 more.
Victor Vula, principal of Victory International School in Myanmar, reports that his family, his church family, and the school families are safe, but aftershocks occurred over the weekend, and no electricity is expected for several days.
He says, “Our need for God’s protection is great. Please continue to remember us in prayers, particularly for the central part of Myanmar.”
To help international partnering ministries like this one provide necessities for their church members and communities when disasters hit, donate to Regular Baptist International’s grant fund.
In a country already deeply impacted by poverty and displacement, the needs following this disaster are great.
