From January 24 to February 5, 2011, there were 11 Church Planters in the training for church planter. It was in the Medan Baptist 
Theological Seminary. They are from Jambi, Bengkulu, North Sumatra and Nias. The training was run by Team Sumatra. The topics in the training are about Baptist Doctrines, Sunday School, Evangelism, Church Planting Strategy and Management of ministry. On the training, Dr Andreas had opportunity to share and talk with Church planters about their ministry and their needs. From time to time they told Dr Andreas that the basic need of them is the need to have a building of worship. This is because in Sumatra, local people understand when they worship god, it means go to a place dedicated to worship. This is a tough task for them and Team Sumatra. As well as we have to teach local people that being church is as important as going to church, we must make every effort so that we can provide a building.
Pray for for our Church planters, may our Lord help them convince the local people about this issue and pray for us to make this expectation come true, just to know for a simple church building value is not less than 20 000 American dollars.
