Josiah and Mary Abedu-Kennedy serve with the Association of Fundamental Baptist Churches in Accra, Ghana. They send the following letter.

During the weekend of the Easter week, we had a night of an open-air film at Dodowa Baptist Fellowship. The film was about the crucifixion of Christ, and I shared a 15-minute gospel message. It was a joy and blessing that three people professed Christ as Savior. On Easter Sunday, Crossroads Baptist Church decided to have a joint service with New Life Baptist Churches of Apam, Mumford, and Ankamu, all in the central region of Ghana. In all, we had about 400 people in attendance for the service. I had the privilege of baptizing 11 people at the service, including people from all four churches. My dad preached the sermon “After Baptism, What Next?” from Acts 2.

Thank you for your prayers for Vacation Bible School 2019. Preparations are ongoing. We got all the materials for VBS, from Regular Baptist Press. It’s our hope that the Lord will give us 4,000 children for VBS 2019 from the eight churches that are hosting it. Our greatest joy will be to see students profess Christ as Lord and Savior. Please pray for missionary Dan Wells of First Baptist Church, Oxford, Michigan, as he put all these things together. It’s our prayer also that we can get others to join the VBS US team that will arrive at the end of July. Should the Lord burden your heart concerning VBS 2019 in Ghana, please contact Dan Wells at 248-563-2916.
