Prasad Sakile oversees worship services in a remote fishing village in India. His father, Pastor John Victor Sakile, is president of the New Life Regular Baptist Society Association in Andhra Pradesh, India. Prasad has sent the following letter:
On the night of Jan. 1 in Kakinada, one of the unreached fishing villages I had targeted faced a fire accident. By the grace of God, we didn’t find out any deaths or major injuries to anyone, but 155 houses are burnt; every family lost their belongings. Thirty-five of the families belong to our church. Miss Grace, Sunday School teacher to 68 of these children, uses materials from Regular Baptist Press, translated by our association team.
We arranged shelter in a Christian community hall, provided food, and are giving medical aid, as well as preaching the gospel, to all who suffered. I personally oversee all the activities through our volunteer team.
Please pray for the faithfulness of this people group and for financial needs for our organization’s relief activities.
