Jesse Quapourlee is pastor of New Testament Baptist Church, Liberia, West Africa, which he began in 2002. He and his wife, Comfort, send the following letter.

Evangelism, preaching the Word, prayers, and maturing of the believers in the doctrines of Christ are the hallmarks of our church; therefore, we don’t underestimate any of these spiritual works. Our prayer team meets to pray for our ministry works every morning of each weekday. Our evangelistic team goes out in our community and the nearby communities every Saturday morning each for six hours of door-to-door evangelism. Our Sunday School classes have been arranged into four categories: adult class, ages 22–100; young adult class, ages 17–21; teenagers’ class, ages 12–16; and children’s class, ages 3–11. Every age group learns about the Savior every Sunday morning, and we preach the whole counsel of God without compromising.

We wish to report that 99 professions of faith were made in October, and some of these new converts are currently present in our church services and are very hungry for the Word. Please continuously pray for their spiritual maturity. Ten new believers are ready to receive believer’s baptism at the end of November. On Nov. 6 we conducted a nightlong preaching and prayer service under the theme “What Must I Do to Be Saved?” from Acts 16:31. A great evangelist and I (Jesse) preached sermons on the plan of salvation. Five people accepted the Lord in tears during that service.

Please don’t grow weary to pray for the great gospel propagation in Liberia, West Africa.
