Agra, India, is best known as the home of the Taj Mahal, but more importantly to God is the evangelical work that is being done by Pastor Pandu Mandala. He hopes to plant a church among the Hindu people in the slum area of the city.
Pastor Pandu had the opportunity to pastor an established church in a different part of India but felt led of the Lord to do pioneer work to the unreached people of Agra. When Chris Hindal, director of the International Ministries of the GARBC, visited this church plant in February, he told Pastor Pandu that he was Jesus to this community. Pastor Pandu said he did not know of any Christians in that neighborhood. Ten people have professed faith in Jesus Christ in the last
few months and on Sunday, July 31, will follow the Lord in believer’s baptism. These are the firstfruits of what God is going to do among those who live in poverty and spiritual blindness.
