“By the grace of God we successfully completed our new year baptism service,” says Prasad Sakile, a pastor with the New Life Regular Baptist Society, Andhra Pradesh, India.
In addition to holding a baptism service, the association also hosted a “new year love feast program” for all religious groups in Prasad’s region.
Nearly 800 people attended that program, where they heard the gospel. One hundred people professed Christ as their Savior, and 22 people decided to begin attending the association’s churches.
“We praise the Lord for His grace,” Prasad says.
He asks people to pray for these new believers to stand for Christ, especially in Muslim communities. Prasad is hoping to construct a church in a Muslim community.
