More people in Kenya are able to read God’s Word, thanks to a monetary gift from GARBC International Ministries.

Last April Chris Hindal, director of International Ministries, visited Good Soil Baptist Churches International, a partnering association of churches in Bungoma, Kenya, where he led a three-day Bible conference. He also sent the association Sunday School and Bible study materials for the churches’ use.

Pastor Cyrus Wanyonyi Chefunea, director of the association, then realized the churches’ need of Bibles and contacted Chris to see if the International Ministries could help. “As we teach these materials, our members need to read from the Bible,” Cyrus said, adding that “very few “ people have “full Bibles.”

The International Ministries provided $1,000, enabling the association to buy 70 Bibles from a nearby Bible shop in Bungoma.

“Please send our word of thanks to all brothers and sisters in Christ who have generously given to help our churches with full Bibles for Bible study.”

Cyrus says the Kenya association remains “busy in the Lord’s vineyard” through “training new believers in discipleship, reaching out in personal witnessing, and open air meetings.”
