In Ghana, evangelism is at the heart of Crossroads Baptist Church.

Five people completed discipleship training there. “It’s been a long period of learning,” says Josiah Abedu-Kennedy. Josiah is pastor of the church and vice president of the church’s association, the Association of Fundamental Baptist Churches in Accra.

Evangelism in the community “has been very encouraging,” Josiah says. Over the past three months, 16 people accepted Christ as Savior.

For the last four weeks the church has been preaching and teaching only on evangelism. “We are praying for more results from our teaching,” Josiah says. “It is my prayer and heart desire that our people will have a deep passion for soul winning.”

Josiah asks prayer for Hope Community Baptist Church, a church plant of Crossroads Baptist. “A few weeks ago, thieves made their way into the church building and stole all their electric gadgets (sound system, keyboard, TV, etc.).” Crossroads Baptist is now raising funds to help replace the stolen items.

He plans to start another church in the neighboring town of Ayekoma, a 15-minute drive from Crossroads Baptist. “Evangelism there starts in two weeks,” he says.

Josiah thanks supporters of Regular Baptist International for their prayers for his ministry. “The Lord has been so, so good.”
