A church in the Congo village of Kabaya continues meeting outdoors after the building was destroyed amid rebel fighting more than two years ago.
“The numbers of saved people are increasing day by day by God’s grace,” says Bertin Mwema, a pastor with the Community of Evangelical Baptist Churches of Congo.
Members of this congregation in Kabaya began rebuilding the church but have been unable to complete the construction due to a lack of finances.
“Their aim is to see the church completed,” Bertin says.
