The Jake Memorial Baptist College has lost one of its students.  Student Simeon Harmon, one of our smartest and potential preachers, died last week after months of sickness. According to family sources, Brother Simeon fell off  in the pulpit on Good Friday  while  he was about to  give the Last Seven  Words of the Cross. He was taken to several hospitals but doctors could not find the cause of his sickness.

Student Harmon, a prospective graduate, was sent to Bible College by the Robertsfield Baptist Church in Smell No Taste, Robertsfield. Since the death of the founding pastor in 2001, the Church was without pastor until 2005 when another Jake graduate took over the congregation, but had to resign two years later. One of the deacons is presently acting as pastor. Brother Simeon will be buried tomorrow.

Since the civil war in Liberia, churches are in daring need of pastors.  Many of the older pastors are now out of the pulpit while some have gone home to be with the Lord. Last week, Pastor Jackson Gaye of the Boe Baptist Church in Nimba County also died and will be taken home next week for burial.  Meanwhile, Pastor Maxwell Magbinne, former pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church fell off this afternoon as the result of high blood pressure and is presently admitted at the Catholic Hospital.

Please pray for our churches and pastors.
