Forty-six churches fellowshipped together in the Association of Independent Baptist Churches in Jamaica on March 9, 2011.  As partners in the IPFBM, they invited Chris Hindal to speak at their annual, Ash Wednesday national conference.  Using the theme, “Within our Reach”, the approximate 600 attendees focused their attention as to what God might do as they exercise good stewardship over the resources He has entrusted to them.  Everyone enthusiastically entered into the Christ-centered worship led by a praise team and accompanied by guitars and drums.

David Loftis, who grew up in Jamaica as a missionary kid, led an afternoon singspiration and pointedly challenged each one to their personal involvement in evangelism.  The Caribbean Regional Administrator for ABWE, Rich Davis, spoke briefly describing the unreached areas of the world.  Reports were given by the Youth Department, ladies’ and men’s fellowships, and the Fairview Baptist Bible College.  This well organized association with well-trained pastors is poised to make an impact on the nations of the world.

For the final 2½ days of the week, Chris and Deb Hindal were hosted by the pastors and wives at their annual retreat.  Chris spoke six times and Deb spoke twice.  The group proved to be very interactive and at times quite transparent.  Satan continues to wage war against those leading the church.  These couples warrant our prayers.
