H. C. Stephen is the international representative for the New Testament Baptist Churches Association in Manipur, India, and chairman of the Council of Eight for the International Partnership of Fundamental Baptist Ministries. He relates the following praises and project initiatives of his association’s ministry.
New churches: The Lord gave us five new churches this year. Three of them were started by our church planters in new fields. The Lord has also enabled us to buy a two-floor building in Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya state. The first floor will be the parsonage, and the second floor will be converted into a worship center.
Hope Baptist Academy: The Lord’s hand is upon Hope Baptist Academy. The school year finished strong with 700 hundred students. Altogether, 28 students faced the board exam conducted by our state government. All of them got through. Ten of them passed with the first division, and all the others passed in the second division. We are expecting to have more students next year.
Association youth group: Over one thousand young people gathered the first week of October to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our association’s youth group. Pastor David and Penny Sincock of Fellowship Baptist, Racine, Wis., came as our guests and ministered to us. Many young people rededicated their lives to Christ.
