“The Lord is blessing” the New Testament Baptist Churches Association of Manipur, India, says H. C. Stephen, international representative for this association.

Despite conflict in Manipur, the association has been able to buy land to construct a church that includes a counseling center and caretaker’s house.

The association is also ministering to the many displaced people who attend its churches. An emergency fund and food bank will help these people, who have been displaced due to civil unrest.

“We would like to go beyond our church families as the Lord leads and provides,” H. C. says. “We are praying and planning to build a few houses to rehabilitate these displaced families.”

H. C. is also looking forward to fall. He and his wife, Chingboi, are planning to attend a Holy Land tour in October with Lakewood Park Baptist Church, Auburn, Indiana. “This is one of our lifetime dreams,” he says. “Pray that the [civil unrest] situation will improve and the tour will be carried out as planned.”
