My heart is filled with thanks for God’s faithfulness through you for Myanmar ministry. You have been called of God to pray and to give and I want you to know that it is because of your faithfulness that God’s ministry is carried out here in Myanmar.

Prayer Requests: “ Finally, brethren, pray fo us, that the Word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified…” 2The. 3:1.

Prayer is something that every believer can engage in. It is something that all believers should do. Prayer is the medium by which God communicates with His children. All things are given in answer to prayer. Every ministry must have prayer behind it if it is to succeed. I have to give you some reports on April activities.

Missionary Home-going: :One of our frontline missionaries by the name of Mr. Ngun Nawl Sum went to be with the Lord on April 12 at our Bible College family Quarters after fighting liver cancer for two months. I was beside him when he was leaving for eternity, his dear wife (who went through cancer surgery), his two daughters, his son, his son in law, my wife and other few believers were also there when he was leaving. He was only 52 years old. He was a committed missionary. I felt that it was a great loss, but I believe that God never make a mistake. We pray for another missionary who can substitute him. We had a funeral service on April 13 at Biblical Missionary Baptist Church. I spoke on Psalms 116: 15, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” From our side, it seems a great lost; however, we accepted God is in control. His wife’s cancer is healed now, her Doctor said. We praise the Lord.

Soul Winning Outreach during Buddhist water festival:

Every year during the Buddhist water festival, all of our missionaries conduct a three day salvation campaign, and souls were won to Christ. This year in April also, souls were won, and believers were strengthened. I could not include all missionaries’ activities, let me mention only few.

Salvation campaign at Shanchaung Church:

Shanchaung Church organized a salvation campaign for three days, and Pastor Haggai was the main speaker. There were 13 children, and 41 adults. As a result of the campaign 8 persons took water baptism.

Salvation campaigns were conducted at Zinanchaung town, Chauk town, Bagan town also, 11 persons took water baptism as a result of the campaign. All those were from Buddhist background.

Soldier of Jesus Christ Team: This summer 31 members of Soldier of Jesus Christ went out to different places for soul winning. Three members came back from the central part of Myanmar which is unreached areas. They could reach 121 persons personally and 7 persons accepted the gospel that they shared. My son (Founder of SOJC) came back from the Philippines. He has a great burden for soul winning, with his three friends, they conducted a youth camp in the second week of April. 18 young people dedicated their lives for the ministry of the Lord.

NEW MISSIONARIES

Out of the graduate students, the following five young ladies are committed to reach the unreached people groups.

1. Miss Ruth Biak Kil

2. Miss Naute

3. Miss Lalthanzami

4. Miss Zung Rem

5. Miss Tan Tan Aye

We do not have enough funds for their monthly support. Those five young ladies will be used as assistants to our church planters. $ 70.00 monthly for each one is needed.

My commitment: For 2011 and 2012, this is my commitment: I will spend six months for Bible translation, and another six months for traveling for preaching. I do enjoy preaching the gospel, and seeing souls being saved. I want to finish the whole Bible very soon for my people.  I do need good health. I do covet your prayer support also.

Yours in His vineyard,

Timothy Sui Lian Mang, Servant of the Lord
