We are all doing well and we thank you all for coming alongside us through our challenging and critical times with faithful prayers unto the partnership and mission our Lord. The Lord did provide us provisions for the children at Talpatratikira, Bisalkhinda and Bhawanipatna for the month of July! And our fellowship churches and congregations are pushing on well. We will in the upcoming week will be sending you some of our children’s drawings. We thank you for praying for us. We had very blessed time of fellowship, sharing, reporting, prayers, singing, worship, meals etc with our local pastors on the last Wednesday 28th of the Month. It was followed by season of three day prayers till yesterday. And being the first Sunday we have the communion service today. The church had its beginning in the early 1970’s and though it is about 40 years we had no privilege to have a Silver Jubilee celeration. And this time we chose to pray so that we organize ourselves to host the program in the month of October. The time is too short but please pray that we could invite key leaders from the region and that the Gospel spreads and that God brings revival for our 51 churches and beyond. We are also praying that God help to have 22 pastors for the 22 jails under Sambalpur Circle Jail. Our Pastor (brother Rev. S. P. Limma) being there has been busy preparing ground works for future networking to spread the Gospel. The prison pastors will be responsible to counsel and do personal evangelism to prisoners, prison officials, prison guards besides meeting the families etc. And that they ought to stay close by the prison area for the ministry. This is a dream that the Lord to fulfill in the years to come. Simultaniously since July 29 till August 8 we are also having CDP for the children at our campus (Talpatratikira). They are greatly enjoying learning with fun as I was talking with Pastor K. K. Pani. Since yesterday they were learning about characters of God and characters of satan and characters of human! And when the kids began to compare characters of God to that of human they are not properly matching! But when they tried to compare the charaters of satan to that of human beings they discovered it is very close!!! or very matching or similar!!!

Yesterday morning our kids killed a snake inside the church! When I heard shouts saying “snake” I rushed with two small sticks and by then there were already about eight kids engaged in silencing the reptile! And it says when the teacher asked the kids to draw picture of a satan; one team chose to draw a picture with two horns, while another drew a picture with long hair, and another a snake, and yet another a distorted figure etc. We are glad the eight monkeys that use to be visiting the campus seem to be away for some days now.

There will be monthly meetings for the pastors on August 25 and 26. And Children’s retreat on 27 and 28 of August and we look forward to have at least two children from our congregations. We hope it will be further blessed time to learn from one another again. I am invited to a conference at Nigeria slated for the month of November by Churches International. Lord willing it will be my first experience to fly out of country. I have already given my passport for renewal and trust this experience of exposure would further enhance the ongoing mission services. The theme of the conference is on Church Planting and they have asked me also to prepare a topic for sharing. Please pray as I study on the passage Hebrews 11:6-10 for the purpose.

As of now we see the violent persecution has halted but one pastor Jamilal Kumbhar in our pastors fellowship meeting did say that twice again they were given threatenings by the fanatics for regrouping to worship but the congregation at Larambha still did not mind but braved to gather on Sunday as usual! And it says no enemy dared to attack again! And he urged for prayers. So also we heard how the Lord used two pastors (Pastor Sugun Rao and Pastor Ajith Munna) to caste out evil spirits that further brought new seekers unto the Lord. The sharing of Pastor T. David on how he shares the gospel while traveling in train or bus inspired others in the meeting. I live in an upper room and daily a lady gets possed with an evil spirit and I could hear her voice afar off beyond the canal and two roads. And I pray that the evil spirit departs from her as she tries to speak so many things to people in loud voice. And in our village the idol temple use to put the loud speaker every day morning but it has stopped since few months! Thanks to the Lord! Please join us in prays for the Lord to transform our village.

Brother at the jail asked me to thank you all for prayers and loving concern towards us. Please continue to pray that the anti-conversion laws are revoked and our state Orissa and our nation India comes to know the living God. Our people say that there are 33 crores of gods and goddesses! Many idols are all around and some temples are so crowded during festivals etc. It is as though we worship a living God as dead in our churches and they their idols as though are mighty!!! Please pray that the revival comes within the Christian community so that others see the joy, salt, light and life. And for the Lord to grant us boldness, courage and renew our strengths to witness for Him even if we are insignificant minority in their eyes. Please greet and share our love to every one in family and congregation. Thank you so much for everything.

Cordially, in Christ,
