Greetings from Silchar, Assam, India in the name of Lord Jesus Christ. I would like to share some of the events in our ministry in recent weeks for your prayer and involvement.

1. Inaugurated the new Library with computer/internet facility last week. We praise God for this gift to the Bible College. Four ladies from USA led by Dr. Beverly Monroe, former faculty member of Cedarville University, were working for the last one month to set up the Library. We thank them, the donor, the students and others who helped in the construction, furnishing, shifting and setting up the Library.

2. We are looking forward to the arrival of Pastor Curt Gordon, his wife and son on March 6. They are bringing their son Daniel to give him a mission field experience before he goes to college next year. They did the same with their first son Andrew in 2007. They will remain in India till March 20 participating in various activities of our ministry.

3. Session started at the Bible College on January 12 and Graduation will be on April 17. Dr. Meghachandra Singh joined the Faculty. He did his Th.M. in Grand Rapids and D.Min. in BBS, Clark Summit. He comes with many years of ministry experience in various fields and we stand to benefit from his involvement.

4. My father’s memorial service was held on December 31, 2008 (died on November 22, 2008). His memorial stone was unveiled on February 7, 2009 by his mentor and long-term friend Dr. Q.D. Kenoyer – a pioneer BMM medical missionary to our area for 27 years.

5. I preached at the Golden Jubilee celebration of Fellowship of Baptist Churches on February 4 on Mathew 18:1-6 and ended it with Philipians 2:3,4.

6. I preached at the Golden Jubilee celebration of Chaltakandi Baptist Church on November 19, 2008 on Mathew 28:19,20. The mandate is to make disciple by Going, Teaching and Baptizing.

7. I was also privileged to deliver the Christmas message at Silchar Baptist Church on Luke 2:8-20. On the Christmas evening, Grace High School and Grace Baptist Church organized a Gospel Meeting where more than 50 unbelievers came.

8. Our Bible College students had a great ministry opportunity at their home churches during Christmas vacation. They got together in groups at different locations to conduct Children and other evangelistic programs.

9. Dr. Hal Miller, founder of Campus Bible Fellowship, inaugurated the Meeting Hall of CBF-Silchar on November 9, 2008. We also organized a retreat on the same day where many University, Medical and Engineering students came to hear the word of God.

10. Classes at Grace High School started on January 12, 2009. The main feature this year is that we are taking care of 6 orphans. We praise God for this opportunity but we are learning in the process. We praise God for He has been providing the needs so far.

11. Our daughter Rachel came for her Christmas vacation. Her Class IX final examination will be next week after which she comes home on March 14. I took our son Philip to Calcutta January 12-17, 2009 for an outing. He thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

12. I plan to visit USA during June 19 – August 4. I plan to attend the GARBC Conference and preach at different churches in OH, MI and TX. Please pray for this upcoming trip.

Sincerely in Christ
