Timothy Sui Lian Mang is president of Myanmar Biblical Baptist Fellowship, Yangon, Myanmar; mission director of Revival Baptist Churches of Myanmar; and founder of Biblical School of Theology in Myanmar. He sends the following updates to these ministries.
Pioneer Missionaries’ Activities
Missionary Jacob Pa Biak and some brethren completed a house for Children’s Bible Club in Chaungtha Beach. Every Saturday and Sunday, they invite children (non-Christians) and teach songs, Bible stories, and salvation. We hope that this place will be meaningful for church planting and church growth. They still need two tables, a whiteboard, and 20 chairs; $350 will provide these needs.
Missionary Tun Tun Naing has been working at Tangmai Village in Magwe Division, which is a very hard place. By God’s grace, he recently baptized six people, all from Buddhist backgrounds. The work goes slowly. God’s Word works God’s work. This missionary needs a bicycle for his outreach; $200 will buy a good one.
Soldiers of Jesus Christ
Some soldiers of Jesus Christ are still at Bible college, but 17 are now on mission fields. Eight ladies go out two by two in the unreached mission fields. The eight men also go out two by two. This year some more new soldiers have been accepted. For these people, we need a building for a base camp and a good vehicle. $2,000 will buy a good vehicle that can go to jungles and difficult areas in Myanmar.
Mr. Ro Cung and another soldier are now in Eastern Myanmar among the unreached people group. They planted a small house church there. We bought a used motorbike for
their outreach. Near our Bible college, soldiers have been doing outreach, and one soldier started a church at Yokyi area. There are now 10 members. Every Saturday they have prayer meeting and every Sunday they have worship service. We call it Ykyi Bible Fellowship. $500 is needed for soldiers’ monthly food and outreach. So far we go forward by God’s provision.
Bible Translation
I am working hard on translating the Old Testament into Falam Chin. I hope that I will be able to finish the whole Old Testament by 2015, and that the whole Bible is printed by 2016. It is very hard work, but very precious.
Bible College Ministry
Now on Sunday morning, students go out and have Good News Bible Club at 23 places. Every Sunday morning, we reach 230–280 children. Some students are now looking for new fields for the club.
Yours in His vineyard,
