Please pray for Team Sumatra annual events: 7days Revival Sumatra and Sumatra Mission Conference 2009.7days Revival Sumatra (7days) is annual movement of all Baptist Churches in Sumatra as well as a pre-mission conference, which is usually done in 7 days. This year the 7 days began in 22nd of June until 18th of July, it would not a 7 days event but almost 28 days. Team Sumatra decided to not change the name as 7days Revival Sumatra is well known among the Baptist in Sumatra. This year the 7days consist: Vacation Bible School, Youth Camp and Youth Ministry Workshop, and Pastor and wife Retreat. The targets of the 7days are 500 students will believe in Christ and 500 church members will involve in the 7days.
The 7 days will be end up at the Sumatra Mission Conference. The conference will start in 21st to 23rd of July, 2009. The conference will be in the Palembang, the capital city of South Sumatra Province. The city has a beautiful bridge that imitates Brooklyn bridge of New York. The conference is important as we will setup new goals for the 2010 in the strategic aspect of ministries such as: Church planting, Evangelism, Christian education, and Social & Community development. Rev Dr Steve Overholt from ABWE will speak for the conference. We target 100 people will come to the conference. In the end of the conference the participants will do a prayer walking for Palembang. Palembang is the capital city of South Sumatra which the number of Buddhist temple far grater than church buildings. Please Pray for the 7days and the Conference.
