Middle of this year my family had entered a new experience. a normal experience for every family to face. Our son, Dewanto Andoko (Dito), he live out of town. He followed in my footsteps, he chose to attend medical school. He study at Maranatha University, in Bandung, West Java. This certainly a new experience for us. Eighteen years we were together, and now we must live away. Bandung wherehe lives must be taken approximately a half day journey by car from Bandar Lampung. He already more than one month stay in Bandung, he seems to enjoy despite many adjustments he needed to do. Please pray for him, in order to be successful in learning and adjustment in the new place.
While for us, Dewi (my wife) and Ninin (my daughter), this experience was quite peculiar. the atmosphere were usually pretty crowded but now the house feels empty. For Ninin especially that feels lonely.
While my condition, especially my health, I seem to recognize that the age has been consuming my body. My teeth began to ache and pain, and my blood pressure began to rise, while I no longer had the same stamina as before. I have to take the drug for high blood pressure, and routine control to the dentist. And the duty at the hospital is more busy than before, as the hospital has started built new building and also there is new transision on new strategic planning that has been implementing on this year. Construction of new hospital buildings has reached approximately 25%. Please pray for funding for the construction of new buildings, although there are funds have been prepared, let this will be miracle of five loaves and two fishes.
Church planting ministry has reached a new stage. Starting in 2010, we were more focused to ensure that projects which already exist can achieve their goals. While for planting new churches, we opted to push the projects that already has 30 member to begin pioneering a new church. This new plan that we introduce as “thesecond generation of the church planting movement. Certainly it is not correct term because a generation means 50 years, perhaps more appropriately is a multiplication movement. But it is OK, sometime this kind of propaganda is needed to push our motivation. Now there are 40 actively projects of Church Planting in which we organize (offcourse there are 5 -6 projects that has been finish and establish. Pray that the church planters will continue pioneering their ministry faithfully. Pray that they will be given the power and wisdom to find new belivers.
