image002Jesse Quapourlee is pastor of New Testament Baptist Church, Liberia, West Africa, which he began in 2002. He sends the following letter.

In God’s faithfulness of provisions and protection, our Christian school, which enrolled 405 students at the beginning of the school year, successfully closed the academic year on June 29. The ceremony included the graduation of 30 kindergarten students.

Since our country is still open to the gospel, we have resolved to plant new Bible-believing, Baptist churches in 20 towns and villages in the north and western regions of Liberia. We are currently recruiting 20 church planters and seeking uncountable prayer warriors and more funds to get this job done within the next three years. On the evangelistic field, 3o professions in Christ were made in June and July, and 13 people are attending the new believers’ class to be baptized soon. Praise the Lord!

Our current place of worship no longer image002accommodates our Sunday morning worshipers; therefore, we currently need our new building. Pray, pray, pray for us! Concerning the building construction, the Lord has significantly lowered the cost of the completion of the building through the provisions of His people. The building is fast being worked on. Our new church building, which is under construction, needs to be done as soon as possible because we are hosting a Bible conference in November. We now need $3,930 (U.S). We are earnestly praying for the Lord’s provision of these funds.

Our church’s first Vacation Bible School is slated for Aug. 12–16. Two hundred children and teenagers have signed up to attend. We are planning to offer them lunch during the time of their studies with us. We have keenly observed that many of the kids come to Sunday School hungry. Pray that the Lord will provide $450 for the feeding.
