PEKANBARU, SUMATRA, Indonesia—The church planting project’s stakeholders of Team Sumatra have met for their annual meeting to evaluate their achievements over the past year and plan for 2010.
Team Sumatra’s workers and coordinators (in photo) are thankful that eight new churches have been planted this past year. But the year was also marked by a sad reality that six church planters resigned from the project. Please pray that God would strengthen the existing church planters, who are vulnerable to burnout and despair.
Team Sumatra plans to open at least 10 new churches this year. Pray for funding, as well as permission from the government and the community to easily obtain church buildings.
