The New Testament Baptist Churches Association in Churachandpur, Manipur, India, will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its youth fellowship India 1 stephens to dinga 022Thursday through Sunday. H. C. Stephen is the international representative of the association and a member of the IPFBM’s Council of Eight. More than one thousand young people, as well as Stephen’s friends Pastor David Pastor David Sincock-1and Penny Sincock of Fellowship Baptist Church, Racine, Wis., are expected to participate. Pastor Sincock says via Twitter that he “will speak 13 times for 23 hours over 9 days.”

Stephen says the anniversary celebration “will be great time of fellowship, fun and feast.”

The New Testament Baptist Churches Association began in 1958 after Baptist Mid-Missions missionaries visited Manipur and organized several churches in the region. Today its ministries extend to Manipur, Assam, Nepal, Tripura, Shikhong, Orissa, and Arunachal Pradesh. The association has about 60 churches; translates and prints Christian literature; runs ahba completed -building-and-school-bus Bible college, a vernacular school, three Christian high schools, and seven primary schools; operates three children’s homes for orphans and destitute children in India, and one in Kathmandu, Nepal; and runs a pregnancy care and counseling center.

The association has been a partner with the IPFBM since 1999.
