Greetings from Trujillo-Peru, where is located this ministry called Baptist Seminary of Peru. Praise the Lord, we finished our first academic semester on July 4; then we had several pastors, leaders and Seminary students during two weeks for modular classes. Today, July 28, our Independence Day, some professors are going to be involved in the Youth Winter Camp. Lord willing, we will start our second academic semester this coming August 4.

From the bottom of our heart, we want to thank you for your prayers on behalf of us here in the Baptist Seminary of Peru. May God richly bless your life and service to Him.
I am writing this letter with a sense of urgency. I have prayed to keep my confidence on the Lord, and not in men, while I share with you an opportunity to be part of the answer of God to this urgent issue.
Since 2004 the Baptist Seminary of Peru does not meet its anual budget. One of the most affected with this irregular situation are the professors of the BSP and their families. Praise the Lord, each year God has provided through churches and friends, and although with delays, the professors have received their salaries. Our Savior has been Faithful; we do not have doubts that He will keep being Faithful.
Please do not think that Peruvians are doing nothing to meet the BSP budget. On last year, the 70% of the expenses were covered by tuition payments and Peruvian offerings. Even this year, we see churches and friends with stronger concern on this ministry.

However, I think that churches and friends like you, who see the critical importance of training sound leaders for the next generations, can be a valuable part of what God is doing here and help us to face our task with more resources.

Our supreme goal is to glorify God. Sincerely, I believe that those delays to pay the salary of the professors do not bring glory to God; instead of it, this situation brings days of suffering for them and their families. I believe it is not a good testimony of God and His ministry called Baptist Seminary of Peru.

What can you do?
1. Pray. We do believe that God answers prayers. Please pray with us that may be God glorified in this urgent situation in Peru.
2. Give. The BSP needs $12,000 US Dollars to pay salaries of five professors the rest of this year (from July to December). Every dollar in God’s hands counts for much. Remember what Jesus did with only five breads and two fish.***
(Talking about offerings for national ministers, one American Pastor told me: “we do not want to create a rich guy in the town”. I understood his concern on do not harm with offerings; but, here there are representatives of churches who control how the offerings are managed, and believe me, your offerings will not create any rich guy in the Baptist Seminary of Peru).
3. Share. Please tell others about this crisis in the Baptist Seminary of Peru and the hard situation of the professors. Invite them to join us in prayers and offerings. Maybe you could not give right now, but you know other believer who can; let him/her know about us.

Thank you very much for your attention to this letter.
In Him,
Enoc Principe
